Which products ?

Any kind of hardware (mechanical, electric, electronics), of any size, made of any kind of materials and manufactured for any kind of environment (commercial, industrial, chemistry, telecommunications, civilian or military vehicles, ships, aeronautics, spatial, nuclear,…)

Which costs ?

  • calculates all the life cycle costs for a product: development, industrialization, production, maintenance (called “phases”).
  • If the product is composed of several elements, calculates the integration cost.
  • calculates the system level cost if necessary.

With , four activities precede the cost calculation (and schedule)

  1. describing the product with a universal method specific to
  2. describing the expected quality level, for the product’s environment use
  3. describing the development or production context, with as much detail as necessary (default values are proposed for most variables)
  4. ajusting the model’s algorithms from YOUR past experiences. This ajustment guarantees that the estimated costs fit with YOUR way of working.

A first set of algorithms, describing the product generates a few parameters that are used afterwards to calculate costs and durations.

Variables describing the way you handle such or such activity, are then used, with the parameters described herebefore, to generate a multitude of algorithms peculiar to each phase and to the detail of each phase
